Commonly known as Triton's trumpet this shell is home to very large sea snails in the Charonia genus. Adult tritons feed on starfish, jellyfish, and other mollusks and can reach lengths of up to 20 inches.

Tritons are protected in some Asia Pacific countries and in many cultures it is thought to bring good luck and charm to a business or family who keeps one. It is one of the more popular shells used in home decor but larger sizes are more rare which all the more reason to keep one in your home.
