There are over 2000 different species of starfish, all in different shapes, sizes, and colors. Starfish have no brain or blood but they are still considered animals because they have a stomach to digest food. Starfish also have eyes.
When a starfish loses an arm to a predator or for some other reason, it can regenerate a new one in its place over a period of months or years.
